YEAR IN REVIEW

MILESTONES AND MOMENTS THAT MADE UP OUR YEAR

THE HITT WAY

This year’s memorable moments are paired with each of our seven core values, which we call The HITT Way. More than just words, these values reflect who we are as a company, and every day, our team members strive to uphold them while delivering an exceptional building experience.

WORK HARD

We believe in a tireless work ethic, a love for the craft, and the simple satisfaction of a job done safely and exactly right. Here’s our 2021 by the numbers.

BE THE GOOD

HITT Contracting
Foundation

We established the HITT Contracting Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that will allow us to invest in three key areas: education, health and wellness, and community building with organizations that impact the communities where our team members live and work.

Giving Back By Volunteering

We understand that our actions can have great impacts. HITT’s team members supported philanthropic endeavors and volunteered with organizations that impact communities where we live and work.

Thanking Frontline Workers

To show appreciation to our teams for their continued hard work and dedication as an essential business throughout the pandemic, we thanked our frontline team members by paying out COVID-19 hardship bonuses totaling more than $4 million.

We obsess over the details in each of our projects – no matter if they’re smaller service projects or large ground-up builds. These are a few of our stand-out projects from this year.

ELEVATE THE BUSINESS OF BUILDING

Rover3_Transparent.tif

Healthcare + Life Sciences

In 2021, we grew our dedicated Healthcare & Life Sciences team, providing expanded services for the highly specialized needs of laboratories, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and research and development spaces as well as office-to-lab conversions.

Robotics on
Jobsites

HITT’s dedicated research and development team implemented semi-autonomous robotics on jobsites and even developed our own robot, S.A.M., to make work more efficient and safer for team members on the job.

Health + Safety Requirements

With refreshed requirements that go above and beyond OSHA standards, HITT’s new practices enhanced jobsite conditions, proactively addressed hazards, and eliminated outdated practices.

We believe in simply doing the right thing. In 2021, HITT introduced a formal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy that is actionable and measurable. We are committed to fostering inclusion and ensuring a sense of belonging to all that share our path. The plans focus around four key principles: Cultivate Community, Listen Intently, Challenge Mindsets and Increase Representation.

BLACK LEADERSHIP NETWORK

In 2021, we furthered our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts with the introduction of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). The goal of our ERGs is to drive real change and innovation and inspire conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Our intent is to provide community connections and a sense of belonging that will empower and encourage our team members to bring their whole selves to work. Our current ERGs include: Black Leadership Network, HITT Veterans, Women in Construction, Pride Alliance, and Parents of HITT.
